Odd One Out Illustrations:
Tiny but Mighty Collection

Branding and illustrative product catalogue

Odd One Out Illustration and The Tiny but Mighty Collection were created after I was tasked with branding myself as

an illustrator and creating a catalogue of illustrative products that will function in-store. Odd One Out Illustrations has a quirky, odd tone of voice and is inspired by childhood wonder and discovery. The brand was based on my thirst for new discoveries as a child and the stacks of scientific books I consumed as a result of that.

The collection itself is based on microscopic giants, or microorganisms that are bigger than typical microorganisms but cannot be seen with the naked eye. The world of microbiology is vast and has many mysteries, with discoveries being made yearly. The goal of the collection was to introduce viewers to the exciting world of microbiology and educate them on the little creatures that they share a planet with.

The collection depicts four microscopic giants, the Tardigrade, Rotifer, Hydra, and Copepod, that can mostly be found

in bodies of water and in similar ecosystems. The collection has several useful items, such as notebooks and wrapping paper sets, that educate the viewer about the habits, habitats, and diet of the creatures. As a novelty gift, the collection also features a nostalgic View-Master that shows how the creatures might interact with each other in the wild.
